LOOKING FOR THE ORDINARY?
If so, read no further. I can learn from the best. My

2008 to 2010 | Harley-Davidson Dealerships | Texas & Louisiana
As
the Parts Manager I was ultimately responsible for setting up and maintaining a
smooth running, efficient department. All personnel needed to be well trained
and available when required. The needs
of sales and service department had to be met. All orders needed to be reviewed
to ensure a fast moving balanced inventory.
I also acted as Warranty Administrator, Inventory Control, Service to
Parts Liaison and Internet / Ebay Sales Person. The store closed down the end
of February and I was laid off

2003 to 2008 Transportation Management | St Paul, MN
Working
as the lead dispatcher in the transportation hub with a fleet of over 200
vehicles required the ability to operate in an extremely fast paced
environment. Vehicles were equipped with Mobile Data Terminals and some had
GPS. Unix and Windows based dispatching software kept everything running. With
the ability to multitask, I made the job look easy. I had to handle driver
inquiries, break downs, give directions, deal with customer complaints and
supervise an inbound call center. I truly enjoyed the rapport I built over the
years with the drives, customers and my co-workers.

2000 to 2005 Bigbike Motorcycle | Minneapolis, MN
As
owner operator of a full service retail parts and accessories motorcycle shop,
12 to 16 hour days were common. I started this business from the ground up and
was fortunate enough to find a niche that very few were focusing on at the
time. This helped by business take off right from the start. I was able to
develop favorable relationships with suppliers, vendors, employees and
customers. I could not have succeeded without them. The store was profitable in
all 4 years of operation. I was forced to close when the city, through eminent
domain, took control of the property at my location.

1997 to 2000 Drag Specialties | Eden Prairie, MN
Officially
I was hired as the Events Manager for this wholesale distributor. It turned out
to be quite a bit more. In addition to organizing trade shows, rallies and
special events, I traveled extensively throughout the country with sales force
to increase brand recognition. When I wasn’t on the road I helped published
some of the electronic media, kept their computer network up and running and
helped set up new accounts. Through Drag Specialties I attended events like
Sturgis, Daytona and Laconia Bike weeks. Enthusiasts spend thousands of dollars
and plan vacations around what I experienced on a routine basis. The people I
met on the road have changed my life in more ways than I thought possible.

1996 to 1997 PageNet Inc | Dallas, TX
Working
as a business to business account manager was a new experience for me. My
territory included Northern IL and Southern WI. Fortunately I caught on quick
and was able to meet or exceed my sales goals every month. When mobile phones started
accomplishing the same tasks as pagers, I realized that the paging industry was
not going to be a pillar of stability. I feel privileged to have developed
personal relationships through PageNet that I still count on today.

1984 to 1997 Various Distributors and Franchised Dealerships
In 1983 I purchased a dirt bike from a Honda Suzuki Dealership with
money I saved up from my paper route. Afterwards I hung around the shop
so much that the owner put a broom and a dust rag in my hand and told
me to get to work. Over the years moved into service, parts and sales.
Down the road I worked for other full service dealers, distributor and
manufacturers, in-house and over the road.
